Durability
The speedglue effect generated by the use of harmful solvents, banned since September 1st 2008, like the integral speedglue effect achieved by Tensor, has a serious disadvantage along with its advantages: the performance-enhancing effect causes the rubber to become brittle and liable to tear. This applies equally to the top sheet and the sponge. It must therefore be expected that the life of both speedglued rubbers and Tensor rubbers is limited. Hoever Tensor rubbers are generally more durable than speedglued rubbers.
